About the Role
We are currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager based in Colombo to join our growing project delivery team.
This role offers exposure across both pre-contract and post-contract cost management, supporting regional projects in the Middle East while being based in Sri Lanka.
You will play a key role in cost planning, BOQ preparation, tender documentation, interim valuations, variations, and commercial reporting, working closely with internal teams and international project stakeholders.
The ideal candidate is detail-driven, commercially aware, and confident managing cost control activities across multiple project stages.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review cost plans, BOQs, estimates, and pricing documents.
Manage pre-contract activities including tender documentation, analysis, and recommendations.
Handle post-contract duties such as interim valuations, variations, final accounts, and cost reporting.
Review contractor submissions and ensure compliance with contractual and commercial requirements.
Maintain accurate cost records, forecasts, and expenditure tracking throughout the project lifecycle.
Support contract administration and assist with claims, variations, and close-out procedures.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and consultants to ensure cost certainty and value delivery.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in quantity surveying or cost management.
Strong working knowledge of BOQ preparation under POMI, NRM, and CESMM.
Experience across both pre-contract and post-contract stages.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work methodically under deadlines.
Desirable Skills & Attributes
Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
Proficiency in software such as Bluebeam, AutoCAD (preferred); and exposure to CubiCost or similar tools is an advantage.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work independently.
A proactive, professional attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
