Stonehaven delivers Jetex flagship private jet terminal at Red Sea International Airport

Stonehaven has completed the delivery of the Jetex flagship private jet terminal at Red Sea International Airport, the dedicated fixed base operation serving Saudi Arabia's Red Sea destination.

Stonehaven was appointed as Lead Consultant on the project and held the combined role of Project Manager, Cost Manager and Site Supervision Consultant through to completion and handover. The appointment gave Stonehaven single point responsibility for design coordination across all disciplines, procurement and contract administration, cost control and reporting, programme management, and full time supervision of the works on site.

The facility occupies the private aviation terminal at Red Sea International Airport, which is arranged as one of five independent pod terminals within the airport. Jetex was selected as the exclusive fixed base operator following a competitive tender process, under an agreement with DAA International, the operator of the airport. The terminal delivers the arrival and departure experience for private aviation guests travelling to the Red Sea resorts, including reception and lounge areas, immigration and processing facilities, and back of house operational accommodation.

Design and delivery followed the environmental commitments set for the wider airport, which is planned to operate on renewable energy as one of the region's most sustainable aviation facilities. The terminal was designed to reflect the surrounding landscape while supporting electric ground transport and integrated smart building systems.

Gordon Rodger, Managing Director of Stonehaven Project Management Services LLC, said:

This was a demanding project by any measure. We were delivering a high-specification private terminal on a remote coastal site, within a live airport environment, to standards set by one of the most recognised names in private aviation. Our unified leadership model brought lead consultancy, project management, cost management and site supervision together within one accountable team, providing clear control across design coordination, commercial management and quality on site. The result is a terminal delivered to the required standards of quality, cost and programme.

The project extends Stonehaven's working relationship with Jetex, which spans a series of private terminal projects across the region. It also strengthens the practice's presence in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where Stonehaven continues to expand its project and cost management portfolio in support of Vision 2030 development programmes.
