What are the responsibilities of an AOR regarding engineering?

The Architect of Record (AOR) is responsible for ensuring all architectural and engineering documents meet UAE code, authority regulations and project compliance requirements. Stonehaven’s AOR role includes coordinating structural, MEP and architectural submissions, managing revisions, and securing approvals from Dubai Municipality, DDA, Trakhees and other GCC authorities.
Why might a project have a separate Engineer and Architect of Record?
