About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager to join our Dubai team and take the commercial lead across major post-contract construction projects in the region. This is a critical role requiring a deep understanding of cost control, variation assessment, and contractor engagement within UAE market dynamics.
The successful candidate will play a key leadership role in overseeing high-value packages exceeding AED 250M+, bringing precision, commercial insight, and contract expertise to every milestone.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead all post-contract cost management activities across large-scale construction projects.
• Review and negotiate contractor submissions, including interim payment applications, variations, EOT claims, and final accounts.
• Deliver accurate cost reporting and forecasting, providing commercial assurance to both clients and project teams.
• Provide contract advice, manage claims and dispute resolution, and ensure strict adherence to FIDIC or bespoke contract forms.
• Attend site meetings and inspections, liaise with contractors and consultants, and maintain alignment across stakeholders.
• Support project controls with risk identification and mitigation strategies to protect budget and schedule.
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of post-contract experience in the UAE, working on high-value developments.
• Demonstrated leadership in projects exceeding AED 250 million in construction value.
• Strong working knowledge of FIDIC and UAE-specific contract administration practices.
• Valid UAE driving licence and own transport (preferred).
• Proficient in evaluating contractor claims, managing commercial risk, and leading cost control functions.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
Desirable Skills & Attributes
• Strong competency in reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Proficiency with cost management tools such as CostX, CubiCost, AutoCAD, or Revit.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams independently, while mentoring junior team members.
• A solutions-oriented mindset, proactive leadership style, and commitment to best practice.
